Red Arrow

Does this happen to you? You shoot so much that you don't have time to process what you've done? I was revisiting the photographs I'd taken in Astoria, Oregon earlier this year and found this red arrow. I figured I'd shoot it to use in a photomontage sometime, but I like the way it stands on its own as-is. The red looks especially good against the complementary dark green background and the texture's pretty cool.

It pays to go back into your photographic archives, seeing what you can find, seeing with new eyes, and applying new post-processing skills and techniques, as I did with this montage I created using elements from last year's Half Moon Bay trip. And if I begin scanning my 35mm slides, I'm set for life! ©Carol Leigh
